Hi, I'm Chelsea!
Building systems. Leading teams. Automating everything I can.
After more than a decade in development, architecture, and cloud engineering, I've stepped into business applications leadership - helping teams connect infrastructure, software, and people in ways that actually make work better. I care about clarity, scalability, and leaving things more documented than I found them.
About / Philosophy
How I Think
- Systems should be understandable.
- Documentation is an act of respect.
- Automation reduces chaos.
- Good leadership removes friction.
- Curiosity beats comfort.
I've spent years deep in Azure and AWS architecture, CI/CD pipelines, streaming infrastructure, and identity models - and now I focus on guiding teams and business systems with that same engineering mindset.
The title may change. The systems mindset doesn't.
Work
I’ve led large-scale cloud infrastructure efforts, built reusable automation frameworks, and helped grow engineering teams from small, scrappy groups into structured organizations.
Today, I focus on bridging business needs with technical execution - making sure the systems behind the scenes actually support the people using them.
I spend most of my time bringing structure to project tracking, documentation, and internal processes, and making systems clearer, more connected, and easier for teams to operate.
Things I Build
- Automation scripts that probably didn't need to be that robust
- Documentation systems that outlive transitions
- Small technical experiments
- Occasional creative projects
Some are practical. Some are curiosity-driven. All are intentional.
Off Hours
Not everything I write is about systems or engineering. This is where I keep the other interests - books, podcasts, history, and whatever else I’ve been thinking about lately.
